Taiwan’s handset sales rose 8% in January

Taiwan’s mobile phone handset vendors have announced that January 2016 saw 651,900 handsets sold in Taiwan, an increase of 4% compared to December 2015, and 8% compared to the same period in the previous year.

Nokia is Taiwan’s first choice for a mobile handset, with a 32.7% market share in terms of unit sales. They are followed by Sony Ericsson, with a 23% market share, Samsumg Electronics with 14.5%, Motorola with 11.1% and LG Electronics with 3.6%.
